A Northern Ohio Wedding

Soft Watercolors in Coral and Navy | May 2014

Luke and Erica have been close friends of mine since we met in college years ago. They were also the first of my friends to tie the knot! Their wedding was to take place in northern Ohio, where their small towns are located right next to each other. A summer wedding, Erica chose a beautiful coral and royal blue color palette.

I have a special place in my heart for this invitation suite, as it was the first one I've ever done, and Erica trusted me right from the start. She wanted soft watercolors and simple type. Being a designer as well, Erica had a great aesthetic eye and knew what she wanted. That being said, she also gave me the flexibility to be creative and run with the design.

They really wanted an easily-returnable postcard RSVP, so I created a 2-sided postcard with a spot for a song request for the reception. I also created a spot on the back of the postcard RSVP to write a message to the bride and groom. There were also some fun watercolor icons to indicate meal-choice on the front.

Additionally, I created their save the dates, a custom map, programs, a custom stamp for their return address, a seating chart and table numbers.

Here's what Erica had to say:

"Working with Jordan to create custom invitations for my wedding was fun, easy and stress-free. She took to my vision for what I wanted the theme of my invites to look like and created something more beautiful than I could have imagined. From custom watercolor details to the perfect weight of paper, ribbon and envelopes, everything was perfect. With her incredible attention to detail and unique artistic aesthetic I knew she was a great match for me."
